We spend countless hours and days out on the water every season waiting for something spectacular to happen. Today was one of those moments. We set out trolling, and, after about 10 minutes, I spotted a set of fins that looked just a little bit different. Turns out, it was about a 150 pound swordfish! Billon ran below to get the dart and I took the boat out of gear. The fish swam right across the stern between the boat and my teasers! We got all of the lines in and Billon got in position on the bow. Our first two shots came up short, but the third opportunity was the best. The fish turned and swam straight at the boat and Billon took the shot and nailed him! We let him take the whole basket of dartline, nearly 500 foot, and we hooked him to a poly ball. The ball wasn’t moving, so we started to reef the line back in the boat halfway up, the dart pulled! It would’ve been nice to get him, but it was a day we will never forget. https://www.fishinfrenzy.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/img_0157.trim_.movhttps://www.fishinfrenzy.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/img_0154.trim_.mov
