2015 is shaping up to be a great season! This past month, I worked on a few improvements on the Frenzy. After nearly 8000 hours, it was time to replace my exhaust riser. Rather than duplicating what I had, I decided to use a single 10″ exhaust out the stern instead of the two 8″ pipes in place. The result is a much quieter system and a whole lot more space in the engine room with fewer connections subject to failure. The generator had to be relocated to make room for the exhaust, and is now easier to service. In the salon, the seats were replaced with wider cushions and some additional tackle storage In the port side bench.
We are ready to start fishing, and will be looking for Bluefins once again for the next couple months. Filming begins soon for Wicked Tuna season two and once again the Frenzy will be featured on the show, let’s hope some fish show up soon! There have been a few fish caught In Morehead City, but I think we are waiting for the main herd to show up out front. I’ll probably start looking on the next weather window.
We are taking reservations for the 2015 season now. If you are thinking about charter fishing on the Frenzy this year, don’t hesitate to call or email, some of our choice weekends are filling up already. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
