It looks like we have the whole ocean to ourselves today, wish me luck!
It’s shaping up to be a great spring. 10 tunas, a wahoo and a gaffer on Saturday and handful of tunas and dolphin on Sunday.
The USCG Cutter Nantucket was on hand to make sure all of our safety gear passed inspection!
We are ready to go for the season. Let’s hope the weather cooperates this weekend. Some yellowfin are being caught, and bluefin are still here!
Now that we have our chairs back on, we can check out our Reel Easy Tridents in a more sporting manner. Check out that bend!
I ordered some Matterhorn white paint, but, in the end, I decided to go with Sunfast red Alexseal for our chairs. It should help camouflage the tuna blood this summer!
Today we fished from the point up and caught 8 yellowfin. There were two bigeyes caught in the fleet also. If you are ready for some tuna action, now is the time to book!
After missing the last couple of days to weather, we are on our way offshore today
today we have a special guest appearance from Dave Radke aka FOG. Let’s see what we can find!
Some putty and paint, we’ll make her what she ain’t! My chairs have taken a beating over the years, and so, instead of refinishing, I decided to paint them this time. Still deciding on red or white, I’ll have to figure that one out next week after sanding and filling.
We set out East of the Inlet and hooked a fish immediately. Unfortunately we pulled that one off but hooked another as soon as we got set back out. We released him, probably a 400#, 90″ fish. The rest of the day we watched fish after fish swimming down sea but we couldn’t get any more bites. Plenty of dates available and pretty weather this week. Give me a call 252-216-9034
Headed out for our first charter of the season! Report to follow
