On Monday, we hauled the Frenzy to Briglia Boat Works in Wanchese for a some major improvements. After 31 years, the old girl is finally getting some fiberglass on her hull sides. We started with a torch and scraper to get most of the old paint off, and then used 8″ grinders with 36 grit to remove the rest. Fortunately, the wood planks were all in excellent shape, so with just a few minor repairs, we were able to lay the glass on Thursday. Friday morning we came back and ground the glass down so we could begin the finish work. Hopefully we will have some red paint on her right after Thanksgiving.
