We left the Inlet with one other boat headed to the 680, well north of the fleet. After we set out, the fleet was getting some bites down on the Point, and my running partner deserted us to chase the bite. We stayed and hooked a bigeye, 115#. We started fishing south, and hooked one out of two bigeyes, 135#. After spotting the fleet approaching, we turned back North, and hooked three more bigeyes. We pulled a hook, broke another off at the boat, and landed one more, 147#. Not a bad day’s work!
