The 2016 commercial Bluefin season is quickly coming to a close, and once again, Nick and Billon did have done an outstanding job. Of all the days we have spent together over the last few years, yesterday was one that I will be especially thankful for. It was Easter Sunday and we went fishing. My nephew Lucas came down to catch his first tuna with his buddy George. After getting blown out on Saturday, we made it out on Sunday and had some action. Within five minutes of setting out, we caught a doubleheader of shorts. Over the next couple of hours, we had two more double bites, each time connecting with one, only to pull the hook each time. We have been really fortunate this year, holding on to nearly all of our bites, but today was the exception. That’s why it’s called fishing and not catching! We still had a great day, and My brother Jeff and Lucas got to see what we do without having to tune into the National Geographic channel! Thanks Nick and Billon, excellent job once again!
We wrapped up shooting Wicked Tuna Outer Banks on Saturday with a helicopter shoot, and went right back to work on Sunday in less than ideal conditions. Check out Oregon Inlet We are open for charters, and the bluefin are here!
